Provides information and practical advice covering the fundamental activities, processes and procedures needed by anyone new to working in a commercial kitchen environment. The award covers nine key subject areas.

Course Content:

Personal hygiene & work clothing

Food presentation

Basic knife skills

Waste disposal methods

Storage methods & temperature recording of foods

The use & cleaning of machinery & equipment

Food preparation

Cleaning of workstations, walls & floors

Sandwich making

 

COURSE DURATION: One day programme with examination at the end of the day.

COURSE LOCATION: At one of our BIIAB approved examination centres in Hull City Centre

COURSE COST: £125 + VAT per delegate. This includes BIIAB registration, examination, certification & handbook, plus lunch and refreshments.
