The Importance of Health and Safety

Springfield Training, Consultancy & Wellbeing acknowledges that it is difficult for organisations to keep up with the ever increasing demands placed on them with issues relating to Health and Safety.

Due to ever decreasing margins, it is not always feasible to employ a full-time dedicated person solely responsible for Health and Safety.

We relieve you of the worry of trying to interpret the latest rules and regulations, allowing you to concentrate on the priorities of your own job. Your in-house personnel may well have generalist knowledge, but in many cases, specialist knowledge of Health and Safety is required.

It is commonplace that independent advisers usually have more credibility with the workforce and employees will be confident that you have their best interests at heart by looking after their Health and Safety.

Our service is comprehensive and covers all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety. We understand your needs and our extensive experience allows us to respond effectively.

Option 1

2-Year Competent Person Development Programme

This option is designed to assist companies in becoming 'self-sufficient' through the skills development of one of its own employees. Springfield Health & Safety Advisors will agree a programme of awareness and training for a nominated individual, leading to a level of competency acceptable to the Health & Safety Executive.

This includes training, mentoring and guidance on a one-to-one basis.

Included within this programme:

Two annual Site Surveys to undertake Health & Safety inspections in conjunction with the nominated member of staff An annual Periodic Report and Status Update on findings Two half-day one-to-one training and development sessions per annum for the nominated Competent Person Unlimited direct telephone and email support for the nominated staff member, providing access and assistance from Springfield's' Health & Safety Advisors Automatic updates on Legislation updates

Your investment: £1750 for the 24 month period (payable in two annual instalments).

Option 2

Annual CPS Programme

This is Springfield's' long-standing CPS programme for all sizes of company where assistance with Health & Safety issues is required in the absence of a nominated Competent Person. Our Health & Safety Advisors will undertake this role on your behalf, and provide you with an assured service. There is also the option of a single annual visit with report.

Included within this programme:

An annual Site Survey and one half-yearly Inspection Visit An annual Periodic Report and Status update on findings Unlimited telephone and email support Automatic updates on Legislation changes

Your investment: £700 p/a for 2 annual visits, or £450 p/a for a single annual visit, and report

Option 3

One-Off Health Check Service

Typically for companies, retail outlets or micro-SME's employing less than 20 staff, this service provides a half-day inspection of the physical premises and policies to ensure the business is operating within the legislative guidelines.

Included within this programme:

Half-day inspection of premises and operating policies A written report on any identified corrective actions required against identified legislation

Your investment: £350 for a half-day consultation visit and report.
