Currently undertaking Lead Adult Care Worker level 3 at Yorkare Homes – Beverley Parklands

When I started with my level 2 qualification, I was very nervous that I wouldn’t be able to get the work done on time whilst juggling a full-time job. With the support of my teacher Melanie Mitchell, I was able to and this helped me build confidence and see that I am able to expand my knowledge within the adult lead care worker.

When I first started my level 2 I didn’t really know anything about the health and social care sector but going through the assignments and information slowly I was able to get to grips with how everything needed to be also what standards are expected from CQC.

On completing and successfully passing my level 2 I decided to progress and push myself further by enrolling onto the level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification. Undertaking level 3 has been amazing as I am able to build my knowledge and am becoming more confident within my job role and within myself. I feel that this has allowed me to make more of a difference in individuals' lives and become more confident with my working practices.

Since I have been doing both my level 2 and level 3 it has made me want to continue with my study and maybe in the future even become a qualified nurse
